Jobs in Kuwait

If you have been contemplating relocating and working overseas, certain areas in the Middle East should be on your list of considerations.  One of these countries is Kuwait.

Kuwait is still a petroleum rich country and this was the primary reason for the Middle East War that occurred in the early 1990’s when Saddam tried to take the oilfields.  Finding jobs in Kuwait tends to be challenging, as the job market is very competitive. Just like the other oil rich countries in the Middle East there is a huge demand for skilled people in a variety of industries.

Here are a few suggestions you should consider for finding jobs in Kuwait:

Search online at the major job posting sites – consider the larger companies first that have been operating the longest.  Usually, these are the companies that pay the most competitive wages and provide an individual with the most job security.

Have a CV or resume prepared that you can e-mail to the prospective employer immediately upon request – remember to include a professional covering letter as well.  Since that tentative employer’s first impression of you will be derived from either or both of these, make sure that they are concise, to the point, and as accurate as possible.

Consider creating a document that will enable you to compare the different jobs in Kuwait that you are interested in right across the board.  This will make the decision making process considerably easier when it comes to which one of these companies to consider.
